Ultimate UCLER (Bluffdale Start) — RWGPS Link — Permanent #580

200.0 km (124.3 miles), with 2444 feet of cumulative elevation gain.

Introduction This 200K loop is based on the popular ULCER (Utah Lake Century Epic Ride) ride which circumnavigates Utah Lake. I added additional mileage on the south end (compared to the century ride) to get the route up to 200K. It travels in a clockwise direction and travels south to Payson before turning north again.

Warning! This first 40 miles of this route has a lot of cues and turns and may be confusing for the out-of-state rider — ride at your own risk! During the summer months, after the organized century ride, many of the official “U111” pavement markings can still be seen and may help in navigating.

Start Point Bluffdale, Utah at the junction of Redwood Road (SR-68) and 14400 South (south of SLC).

Ultimate UCLER (Nephi Start) —  RWGPS Link — Permanent #800

201.9 km (125.4 miles), with 2224 feet of cumulative elevation gain.

Introduction This 200K loop is based on the popular ULCER (Utah Lake Century Epic Ride) ride which circumnavigates Utah Lake (later changed to Hotter than Heck). I added additional mileage on the south, going down to Nephi (compared to the century ride) to get the route up to 200K. This route is slightly different than the Lehi Start route, as it doesn’t make the loop around West Mountain, near the shores of Utah Lake. It does however, travel through Goshen Canyon for great views of Mount Nebo (see photo below).

Warning! This middle 40 miles of this route has a lot of cues and turns and may be confusing for the out-of-state rider — ride at your own risk! During the summer months, after the organized century ride, many of the official “U111” pavement markings can still be seen and may help in navigating.

Start Point South Nephi, just south of exit 222 off I-15. Your choice of Subway, Sinclair/Hoggi Yogi or Chevron/Burger King.
